Biography
Recipient of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Masters Degree from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) during 2008-2010. Recipient of Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for Doctoral Degree from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) during 2011. Best Oral Presentation awarded in International Conference on ‘Changing scenario of pest problems in agri - horti ecosystem and their management’ at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, Rajasthan during 27-29th November 2014. Developed conservation strategies by planting flowering crops in the vineyards to conserve and augment the population of native parasitoids for biological control of grapevine mealybug Studied the kairomonal role of mealybug honeydew in the attraction of native parasitoid, Anagyrus dactylopii Studied the biocontrol potential and recovery of Chrysoperla zastrowi zillemi for the management of grapevine mealybug and mites under field conditions Empowered grape farmers regarding the insect pest management in grapes by various means like transfer of technology through regional ‘Charchasatras’ and web advisory for weather forecast for grape insect pests management.
