Biography
Dr. Subhash Chand has born on 15th October 1964 Zaidpura Village District Saharanpur, Western UP. Joined ICAR service on Ist May 1997 at ICAR- Indian Institure of Soil and Water Conservation Research and Training Institute (IICSWCRTI), as Scientist Agricultural Economics and worked at its Research Centre Ooty, Tamil Nadu till July 2006. While working at Ooty, was associated with 15 research projects sponsored by ICAR & NATP and Ministry of Wasteland and Rural Development. Also has worked on 12 consultancy projects on impact of natural resource conservation programmes sponsored by various agencies i.e. DRDA, CWDP, DANIDA, Western Ghat Secretariat, Planning Commission Govt. of India, NGO and ICAR etc. During 2006 I was selected as Sr. Scientist Agricultural Economics for ICAR-ICARI, Port Blair. I have worked more than seven years on coastal and island agroecosystems by taking up the research studies at CARI, Port Blair and acted as I/C Head Social Science and Krishi Vigyan Kendra upto end of 2013. I have joined NIAP, Delhi 03/01/2014 on transfer and working on institutional change and sustainable agriculture areas.
