Research Interest

I have been active in the area of highly accurate numerical simulations (DNS, LES) of compressible turbulent flows since last 12 years. The present focus of my research is shock-turbulence interactions in internal flows using well-resolved LES and DNS. I am also working on LES of turbulence- thermal radiation interaction in high-speed, high temperature reactive and non-reactive flows. Other interests include turbulence modelling for compressible flows, LES of turbulent combustion and DNS of high Reynolds number wall-bounded flows, development of numerical schemes for shock-turbulence interaction.
