Biography
Prof. (Dr.) Supriyo Ghose has a rich blend of corporate experience and academic excellence. He has an experience of 14 years in IT industry and 8 years in higher academic institutions (including IIM Calcutta). He has worked in some of the leading IT companies globally, namely TCS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Infosys and Mahindra Satyam, where he played the roles of Project Manager and Business Analyst to assist several Fortune-500 clients in their IT transformation projects. Dr. Ghose’s teaching experience started with a stint at IIM Calcutta, where he introduced several new subjects in MIS, such as ERP, E-commerce and Data Mining. He has subsequently taught at Amrita University and at Alliance University, where he was Area Chair for Operations Management. He has also been a visiting faculty at IIM Ranchi. Dr. Ghose has done his B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University. He is Fellow of IIM Kolkata. His research interest is primarily in combinatorial optimization, heuristic search, data mining and related topics.
