Lizzie Chapman

Biography

Lizzie is the Co-Founder & CEO of Zest Money, a platform that provides easy financial services to make online shopping easier. Her passion to use technology to disrupt traditional financial services made her move to Mumbai in 2011 to start the India operations of Wonga.com – one of the world’s most innovative financial services companies. She also served as the Executive Director at DBS previously. Lizzie started her career with Goldman Sachs in equity research and asset management. She then became an investor for The Wellcome Trust, one of the world’s largest endowments, as a founding member of the direct private investment team, where she focused on India and financial services. Lizzie loves design and travel, and combined these passions in 2013 to launch Abode Bombay, the city’s first luxury boutique hotel. She is actively involved in the early stage startup scene, and serves as an advisor to a number of companies including the digital SME finance provider, Capital Float. Lizzie is an Investment Committee member of the early stage fund – India Quotient, a Mentor with Global Super Angels, and also a TiE Charter holder. Lizzie is an avid runner and has competed marathons around the world. She is also a podium finisher and pacer in the Mumbai marathon.
