Biography

 Shri J. Venkateswarlu is a Part-time Non official Director on the Board of (IIFCL)* appointed by Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. He is a Commerce Graduate from Andhra University (1979) and became an Associate Member of ICAI in 1983 and became a Fellow Member in 1990. He is in the profession of Chartered Accountancy for the last 28 years, dealing in the subjects of Accountancy, Auditing, Banking, Finance, Taxation, Corporate and other Commercial Laws. He was elected to the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) for 3 terms (1998 to 2007) and was its Chairman in 2004-05. He was elected to the Central Council of ICAI for 3 terms (2007-10; 2010-13 & 2013-16). In the last 8 years, in the Central Council of ICAI, he has been associated with various Standing and Non-Standing Committees as Chairman and Member. Currently, he is the Chairman of Committee on Accounting Standards for Local Bodies, Vice-Chairman of Committee on Banking, Insurance & Pension and Member of Disciplinary Committee, ASB, AASB, Corporate Laws & Corporate Governance Committee, Expert Advisory Committee, Professional Development Committee and SMP Committee. He has participated in the meetings of SMP Committee of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) as Technical Advisor to the Indian Member of the said Committee.  He has been a speaker at the various National and Regional Seminars and Conferences organized by ICAI and its Regional Councils and Branches
