Biography
His Research work includes: Plant cell and tissue culture of superior genotypes of economically important plants and technology transfer, Field trials at different locations to test the clonal homogeneity of the plants as well to find suitable crop for waste land development, Latter studies were carried out with wasteland development foundation Nasik Maharashtra, Morphogenetic response of embryonal tissue of pines(conifers), Somatic embryogeny and cryopreservation of mango and cashew and Genetic engineering studies to develop the model systems of pine and turmeric. Somclonal variation in turmeric.
Research Interest
Plant cell and tissue culture of bioenergy and medicinal plants, Secondary metabolite and biotransformation studies, Development of transgenics, Identification of genetic markers linked to the specific characters and Studies on morphogenetic response of plant cells and tissues at different physiological functions.
