Biography
Anand Venkateswaran, is currently in IIM Bangalore as a visiting faculty in Finance and Accounting. He is also an Associate Professor, Department of Finance and Insurance at D’Amore-Mckim School of Business, Northeastern University - Boston. Prior to joining Northeastern, Dr. Venkateswaran received his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pune in India and a Ph.D. in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta. Just before starting his doctoral studies, he worked as an investment banker for five years, in India. Dr. Venkateswaran’s primary research interests are in the area of corporate finance and its interaction with other business disciplines. His primary teaching interests are in Corporate Finance, International Finance, Risk Management & Hedging, and Investment Banking. He has taught these courses both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals that include, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science.
Research Interest
Dr. Anand Venkateswaran research interest is in the broad area of corporate finance, with a specific interest in how incentives affect firm policies and in the interplay between corporate finance and other business disciplines.
