P C Narayan

Biography

P C Narayan is a faculty member in the Finance & Control Area at IIMB with specific focus on banking, financial markets and risk management. He has a rich and varied experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining IIMB, he was with a private sector bank in India with management responsibility for retail banking, operations and information technology. And prior to that, he was with a multinational bank for several years, based overseas, and a global banking technology company also based overseas. Having travelled to over 40 countries and having implemented projects in 20 different countries, he brings a unique cross-cultural perspective and a breadth of global experience.

Research Interest

Professor Narayan’s areas of interest and expertise include risk management, financial markets, international banking and finance, payment systems, regulation and monetary policy, micro-finance and technology related to banking and financial markets. He is Chairperson of ERP implementation at IIMB. He was a member of the UID Advisory Group that formulated the contours of the 'Aadhar' project in India.
