Biography
Prior to joining IIM Bangalore, Tirthatanmoy Das was Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Central Florida in USA, where he taught from 2014. He was Assistant Professor of Economics (Instructional Track) at the Temple University, USA from 2012 to 2014. He was Visiting Scholar at the Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, during Summer 2013. He is a Research Fellow, IZA Institute of Labor Economics.
Research Interest
Tirthatanmoy Das’s broad areas of research are Labor Economics, Econometrics, Health Economics, and Behavioral Economics. He has published in the Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Political Economy, Contemporary Economic Policy, and India Policy Forum. He also published a book ‘Mid-Year Review of the Economy, 2006-2007: India at a Structural Break’.
