Biography
Dr. Venkataraghavan holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His research involves the incorporation of consumer behavioral aspects into the design of Information Systems, specifically Electronic Negotiation Systems and the adoption of Emerging Information Technologies. His work has been published in IT journals and conferences such as Group Decision and Negotiation, Information Systems Frontiers, Management Research Review, GDN Annual Meeting, Design Science Research in Information Systems, et cetera. Dr. Venkataraghavan has an industry experience of eight years. Before joining academia, he worked as a principal data scientist at a telecom analytics start-up on Big Data Analytics. Earlier, he was an ERP package solution consultant at IBM and NTT India. As a data scientist, he had developed predictive models for customer segmentation and multi-brand loyalty.
Research Interest
His current interests include the application of machine learning techniques to combine insights from Big Data and Market Research and the development of Big Data sampling strategies for Market Research.
