Biography

Sethu.G holds a Doctorate in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad, M.Tech from IIT, Madras and B.Tech (Honours) from IIT, Kharagpur. He has experience of about 33 years. His experience includes graduate teaching at MBA level, executive education, research, advisory work, and service to the professional community. His field of academic specialization is finance & capital markets. He received the Prof. Sengupto Medal for scholastic achievement at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India (1977). After serving in the civil service for a brief period, he joined as Associate Professor of Finance at XLRI Jamshedpur in 1991. He served as Professor at the UTI Institute of Capital Markets during 1996-2006 and as Officer on Special Duty at the National Institute of Securities Markets during 2006-2011. During the period 1997-2004, he was the Dean at the UTI Institute of Capital Markets. He has many years of experience in curriculum design, investor education, organizing research conferences and industry seminars, design and delivery of executive education, research and advisory work besides participation in a number of professional activities such as director on corporate boards and serving as member of various committees.
