Biography
Dr Anubhuti Yadav is Associate Professor, New Media at Indian Institute of Mass Communiction, New Delhi. She did her Doctorate from Guru jambheshwar University and joined Advertising Industry in 2000 and worked on the Rajasthan Tourism campaign for two years. Later she moved to academics and joined IIMC in 2002 and taught advertising and research for three years. In 2005 she left IIMC to join National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to work in areas like educational media and media literacy. Her work in the area of educational media won her four national awards as best script writer and researcher for the series, on women achievers, career counselling and media literacy, conceived directed and scripted by her. She is a leading expert and an active promoter of media literacy in India. Through community involvement and teacher training programmes and as a researcher teacher and media professional, Dr. Yadav has played a key role in introducing media studies at school level in India. She undertook various projects to promote digital and media literacy education in India. In 2008, she took up the project of setting up media clubs in schools and trained teachers to set up these media clubs across the country.
Research Interest
Dr. Yadav is also a keen researcher and has conducted research in the areas like media literacy, media education, women & media, media & children,entertainment education, Informational and communication technology, Open Educational Resources and New Media. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences.
