Dr. Manoj Srivastava is a Principal Scientist in Lube, Carbon Material & Bitumen Areas Heavy Oil Processing Division in CSIR - Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun. His acheivements are • Developed Technology for Making Impregnating Type Electrode Pitch from Petroleum/ Petrochemical Streams • Developed a Catalytic Process for Making Petroleum Based Impregnating Pitch Commercialized to M/s Graphite India Limited, Bangalore • Developed Process for Separating Naphthalene from Lighter Distillates Ex-Pyrolysis Tar Process transferred to M/s Graphite India Ltd, Bangalore • Developed a Process for Making Petroleum Based Binder Pitch • Technology for Upgradation of FCC Recycle Oil through Solvent Extraction Commercialized to HPCL Technology Commercialized at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Mumbai Refinery – Core Team Member • CSIR Technology Award - 2009 for Innovative Technology for Upgrading Fuel Oil Components into Premium Refinery Products (For successful Commercialization of technology ) • Technology Shield for Process Technology – 2000 NMP Based Refining Technology for Simultaneous Production of Quality Lube Oil Base Stocks (LOBS) and High BMCI Extract (For successful commercialization of technology) – Supporting Team Member • Best Scientist Award for Applied Research (1997) Instituted by IIP • Best Paper Presentation Award in 9th National Symposium on Analytical Techniques for Fossil Fuels and Lubricants, (Indian Soc. of Anal.
