Biography
Dr. V.V.D.N. Prasad is a Senior Scientist in GTL area/Catalytic Conversion and Process Division in CSIR - Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun. His acheivements are • HDS catalyst developed to bring down the Sulfur level below 50 ppm in diesel • Hydro treating catalysts in the form of direct sulfides with high dispersion were prepared by applying the precipitation from homogeneous solution (PFHS) method • Procedure for the dealumination (20-80 %) of zeolite Y with minimum loss of crystallinity was developed at lab scale for use in FCC/DCC catalyst formulation.
Research Interest
His research interests are • Expertise in preparation and characterization of catalysts for petroleum refining processes like hydro desulfurization, reforming, FCC, etc., • Development of metal supported monolith catalysts for the production of hydrogen by ethanol steam reforming.
