Biography
Mr. Sunil Kumar is a Scientist in Modeling and Simulation Area Separation Processes Division in CSIR - Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun. His acheivement are • Team member of FGH production technology using NMP as extraction solvent (for change over of solvent from sulfolane to NMP in FGH unit) at CPCL, Chennai • IIT Kanpur awarded the Certficate of Merit for Academic Excellence in the Master of Technology Programme in Chemical Engineering • Honoured with AMBUJA’S YOUNG RESEARCHERS AWARDS for M.Tech Thesis- Catalytic CO2 hydrogenation reaction over nickel on different supports (SiO2, Al2O3 & SiO2-Al2O3 • Honoured with M H Shukla second prize for the best technical paper presented at the annual session Indian Chemical Engineering Congress 2008 • Departmental Rank 1st in M. Tech. batch 2007-08. • Secured All India Rank 38th in GATE examination-2007 . • Ranked 1st in Diploma batch 1998-2001 .
Research Interest
His research interests are • Design, simulation, optimization and heat integration of processes for Petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. • Solvent extraction processes . • Development of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) models for Biofuels.
