Assistant Professor at Department of Sociology, Tripura University (A Central University), Tripura from 16th September, 2011 till 31st December, 2013. Taught Global Studies Programme-Master of Arts in Social Sciences Students during Winter Semester (1.10.2010 to 31.03.2010) in the course titled “Modern European Social Thought” at Institut für Soziologie Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Germany.

Areas of Interest/Specialization is Sociology of Development, Gender Studies, Tribal Studies, Rural Development, Urban Studies, Poverty and Food Security, Women’s Self Help Groups
