Biography
He worked as Continuity in the urban sector since 1980 at National Institute of Urban Affairs, Human Settlement Management Institute of HUDCO and IIPA. Has followed the urban sector in India and elsewhere closely since the global attention on decentralization and sustainable habitat. Experience at different levels of expertise Coordinated 28 consultancies/research studies of high repute and was a member of team in another 14 studies Has been a member of select committees to prepare policies, manuals, launch of a series of training at national and international level. Publications include research reports, papers, guidelines, manuals, checklists, articles and Newsletter etc. Designed, Developed and Delivered workshops, seminars and training courses (including on the job training and handholding of city governments) of national and international recognition.

His Areas of Interest/Specialization is Urban Governance and Management, Institutional Development and Capacity Building, Urban Poverty, Slum Improvement, Urban Housing, PPP for Municipal Services, Urban Policies at national and international level, Municipal/Urban Infrastructure Finance.
