Biography
PhD (Crystal Engineering, Supramolecular Chemistry, Organic Chemistry), School of Chemistry (University of Hyderabad), 2006 Positions: Postdoctoral Fellow, INT, Karlrsuhe Institute of Technology (2007 - 2008) Assistant Professor, IISER Kolkata (2008 - 2013) Associate Professor, IISER Kolkata ( - )
Research Interest
His research interests include the design and synthesis of various technomimetic functional molecular materials, dynamic molecular crystals, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredeints (APIs). His research group is involved in establishing the structure-mechanical property correlation in various molecular materials using experimental techniques such as X-ray crystallography, nanoindentation, TGA, DSC, hot-stage microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. His group is actively involved in developing the strategies to design flexible crystalline molecular materials, mechanochromic luminescence materials, flexible semi-conducting organic crystals etc. using crystal engineering principles.
