Research Interest

Information theory and coding My research interest broadly lies in information theoretic analysis of emerging problems in computer science, communication theory, and statistical learning. In particular, I have focussed on application of information theory to security, interactive communication, and statistical learning. Lately, I have been interested in distributed and constrained inference, practical data exchange protocols, secure and minimal delay communication for CPS, compression of interactive communication, secure computing, secret key agreement, routing for MANETs, and sparse recovery using covariance estimation. Open Research Positions We are seeking a research assistant for a tenure of 6 months to 1 year to work on a DST funded project on interactive compression algorithms. Candidates should have a bachelors or a higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or any other related field. Candidates with a strong background in mathematics and inclination towards theoretical research are preferred. Furthermore, candidates with experience in coding in Python or C++ will be preferred.
