Saumitra Das is Associate Professor in Department of Microbiology Cell Biology, Indian Institute of Science, Sir C V Raman Avenue, Bangalore, India.
Research Interest
Main research interests include: Ribosome binding to the IRES element has been shown to be mediated by a number of cellular proteins (trans acting factors) and cis acting RNA elements. We are studying the RNA-protein interactions that are critical for viral and cellular IRES function.
