Liposome and vesicle microreactorsLiposome and vesicle microreactors, their microstructure, deformability under shear, and reactions in them to produce ultrafine particles. Electron Microscopy of Complex FluidsElectron Microscopy of Complex Fluids, including development of new microscopy techniques. Morphology of soft solids and complex liquids. Membrane TechnologyMembrane Technology, including composite, supported, asymmetric, hollow-fiber, and ceramic membranes; their preparation, industrial manufacture and characterization. Artificial organsBlood oxygenerators, dialysers; new designs and industrial prduction Ceramic materialsTheir precursors, powders and membranes; microstructure development; optical properties; bioglasses. Micro-chemical engineeringspecialized instrumentation, process miniaturization and intensification. Excellent facility set up for cryo-scanning electron microscopy and sample preparation of soft solids and complex liquids; and for Thermal conductivity of fluids: applied to vegetable oils, suspensions and soft solids.
