Research Interest
Research Interests: My research work is on applications of 2D materials, especially graphene, to electronics, sensors and fluidics. One prime motivation for all of it is to develop tools for cellular level biology and low-cost medical diagnostics. This work also tocuhes micro-nano mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS), nanoscale friction and thermal transport, which are emerging on many frontiers. I have a background in synthesis and modifications of graphitic carbons, and more recently with the newer 2D materials.
