Research Interest
Human reliability modeling: Now man is heavily dependent on machines providing access to functions and services. However, due to the ever-increasing complexity of systems, there is an issue in such a man-machine interaction. Herein, lays the concept of Human Reliability Analysis (HRA), which reflects an understanding that how a man-machine interaction is error-proof, and that improved reliability requires an understanding of error problems, leading to improved mitigation strategies. Computer-aided HRA would improve the efficiency as well as safety of systems in interactions. Big data analytics appraoch to samrt civic society.: India being the nation with world’s second largest population, its civic society is also equally large, complex and compounded with many requirement. To make India’s civic society a smart society, we will propose a system which allow users’ to submit their views on any matter related to the society they belong with their devices at their hands (e.g., cell phones, computer, telephone, etc.) and the way they are comfortable (e.g. speech for language iterates, own mother languages for English illiterate etc.). All such information will be streamed into a central repository. Then each submission would be processed automatically to attend them at the earliest if not instantly. The processing would include several data analytics in order to bind decisions for each submission. The mined information then would be channelized to the concerned administrative authorities for their perusal. In summary, the proposed system would be developed combining existing ICT and Cloud technology and Big data analytics for accurate and faster business decision of the concerned authority. Cloud security: Of late, Hadoop Distributed File System, provides scalable and fault tolerant storage at a lower cost. However, HDFS does not provide any robust authentication mechanism for principal authentication. This work aims to propose an authentication mechanism suitable for Hadoop framework.
