Biography
Dr. Suman Mukhopadhyay was born in Kolkata. He has completed his B.Sc (1995) and M. Sc (1997) in chemistry from University of Kalyani, West Bengal. He has carried out his doctoral research in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata and obtained his Ph.D degree in synthetic inorganic chemistry from Jadavpur University in 2004. After that he joined in National University of Singapore as a post-doctoral Fellow. In 2006 he moved to Lisbon as a FCT post-doctoral fellow to join at Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal. In 2009 he moved to EPFL in Lausanne (Switzerland) as a Marie-Curie International Incoming Fellow. In 2010 he has been shifted to IIT Indore to join as an assistant professor. His research interest is small molecule activation, porous dynamic metal-organic frameworks and inorganic and organometallic pharmaceuticals.
