Research Interest
Over the past few years, I have been working in the area of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). GNSS stands for all global and regional navigation satellite constellations, including the Global Positioning System (GPS) of the USA, GLONASS of Russia, and Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) of India. These systems are designed to provide user position, velocity and timing (PVT) information all over the world or over a particular geographic area. My research interests are in all aspects of GNSS including algorithm development for advanced GNSS receivers (user equipment used for tracking satellite signals for PVT information), GNSS integrity (or reliability) monitoring, remote sensing and atmospheric studies using GNSS signals. Apart from GNSS, I am also interested in signal processing as applied to any other areas of navigation, sensor fusion, and estimation theory.
