Magnetic, transport and thermodynamic properties of oxides and rare earth intermetallics; nanostructured magnetic oxides and intermetallics; low dimensional and frustrated magnetic compounds; functional materials like mutiferroics, magnetic refrigerant materials, materials exhibiting colossal magnetoresistance, shape memory alloys
