Biography
Dr. Chandrakant K Nirala is currently working as Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering, IIT Ropar. Prior to working at IIT Ropar, he was working in the Department of Mechanical-Mechatronics Engineering at The LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur. During his Ph.D., he worked on Sensors based Tool Condition Monitoring and Wear Compensation in µEDM variants. He has one year of experience in development of lighter metallic materials by Severe Plastic Deformation technique, for engineering applications. The experience was gained at National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR), Jamshedpur after completion of B.tech in 2008.
