Biography
After completing his doctoral work in 2005, Dr. Dasgupta moved to University of Southern California to carry out post-doctoral work in the area of geometric phase in open quantum systems. In 2007, he started working with Professor Paul Brumer at University of Toronto. He joined IIT Ropar as an Assistant Professor of Physics in 2009. Dr. Dasgupta is interested in the areas of physical modeling in quantum optics, nano-systems, and decoherence in physical systems, and he has several publications in these areas.
