Biography
Dr. Behera received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics (DSE), University of Delhi. He has worked under the guidance of Prof. Pami Dua and Prof. Bishwanath Goldar to obtain his Ph.D. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. His research work has been focused on foreign direct investment (FDI) and technology spillovers, spatial and regional spillover in Indian manufacturing industries. More specifically, he is doing research on the application of econometric modelling to estimate the macroeconomic parameters, and doing empirical exercise on business forecasting, economic growth, economic geography and urban economics, energy and environmental economics, current account deviation, S-I dynamics, and cross-border capital mobility in the developing countries, etc. Presently, Dr. Behera is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Dept. of HSS, IIT Ropar, where he teaches econometrics, urban and regional economics, international economics and finance, and applied econometrics.
