Biography
Professor Zewail has made many outstanding and valuable scientific contributions in the area of chemical dynamics. These have resulted in the establishment of real time probing of molecular events in the femtosecond time domain and added a new dimension to chemical knowledge. His work on the combination of femtosecond lasers with molecular beams has led to a greater and deeper understanding of femtochemistry of molecules. In recognition of his original and significant research contributions, he has been awarded Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
