Anil Kumar Gupta

Biography

Professor Anil K. Gupta had his graduate and post graduate education from Aligarh Muslim University and Banaras Hindu University, respectively. He was awarded Ph.D. in 1987 and joined Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur as a faculty in the same year. Prof. Gupta was a Post-doctoral fellow at Louisiana State University (1990-1991), Senior JSPS Fellow at Shimane University, Japan (1999) and NRC Senior Research Scientist at NOAA, USA (2001). In August 2010, Prof. Gupta joined as Director of the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun which is an autonomous Institution of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
