Biography
Anjan Joshipura obtained his BSc from Saurashtra University and MSc from Gujarat University. He then joined Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bombay and earned his PhD degree (1979) from Bombay University under the supervision of Probir Roy. Subsequently he worked at Hamburg University as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow. On returning to India (1982), he worked at IIT Kanpur, Saurashtra University and Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai before joining Physical Research Laboratory Chennai (PRL), Ahmedabad. He presently holds the position of outstanding scientist at PRL.
