Biography
Badri Nath Tandon received MBBS and MD degrees from KG Medical College, Lucknow. He acquired Postdoctoral Training in 'gastroenterology' from Harward Medical School, Boston, Massachussetts, USA and the training on 'nutrition' from Mass Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA. Thereafter, he worked at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) (1962-91) as Faculty Member, Professor and Head of Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit. He was also Dean at AIIMS. He was Director and Senior Consultant (1993-2000), Hepatology & Gastroenterology, Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute for Liver, Renal and Digestive Diseases, New Delhi, and continues to be Chairman, Metro Centre for Liver and Digestive Diseases, Metro Group of Hospitals, Noida and Delhi. He spent half of his efforts for mother and child development. He is deeply interested in the areas: human nutrition, liver and digestive diseases.
