Biography

GV Subba Rao received MSc from Sri Venkateswara University and did his PhD (1970) from IIT Kanpur under the supervision of Prof. CNR Rao. He worked as Demonstrator, SV Arts College, Tirupati, Lecturer, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur, Assistant Professor, Professor, and Head, Materials Science Research Center, IIT Madras, and Director, Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi. He is presently associated with the National University of Singapore, and the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, Singapore. He was Postdoctoral Fellow at IBM Thomas J Watson Research Center, New York, Humboldt Fellow at the University of Munster, and Visiting Scientist at the Argonne National Lab.
