Je Allende

Biography

Professor Allende has worked extensively on elucidating the role of aminoacyl tRNA Synthetases and initiation factors in protein synthesis. He was involved in the development of wheat germ system for protein synthesis studies. He later worked on the role of calmodulin in cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase. Professor Allende's recent work on structure and function of Casein Kinase II is highly significant.
