Biography
Jnanadeva Maharana obtained his BSc (Hons) in Physics (1966) from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack and MSc (1968) and PhD (1973) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He was post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Tokyo (1973-74); Research Associate at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (1978-80); and Scientific Associate, CERN, Geneva (1985-86; 1977-98). He has held visiting positions in many foreign institutes, such as Visiting Faculty, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena (1992); Einstein Institute, Germany (1998), the Yukawa Institute of Theoretical Physics, Kyoto (1999) and so on.
