Biography
Kalasa Chandrasekhar Jois Kumara Swamy did his BSc and MSc from the University of Mysore. Then he joined the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore for his Ph.D. under the joint supervision of Prof. S.S. Krishnamurthy and Prof. A. R. Vasudeva Murthy. After completing his Ph.D. (1984), he worked in the same department as a Research Associate and then as a Senior Scientific Officer in a project. He did his post-doctoral work with Prof. Robert R. Holmes at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) during the years1986-89. He then joined the University of Hyderabad as a faculty member, became a Professor in the year 2001 and is continuing in this position. He is an AvH fellow (Saarbrücken, Germany with Prof. Dr. Michael Veith).
