Biography
Krityunjai Prasad Sinha obtained the MSc (1950) from Allahabad University, and the PhD (Solid State) (1956) from Poona University under the supervision of GI Finch. He earned another PhD (Theoretical Physics) (1965) from Bristol University under the supervision of MHL Prycc. He worked as Group Leader, Solid State & Molecular Physics Unit, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune (1959-68); Member, Technical Staff, Bell Laboratories, New Jersey, USA (1968-70); Senior Professor, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (1970-89); INSA Senior Scientist (1990-93), CSIR Distinguished Scientist (1993-96), JNCASR Senior Scientist (1996-98), INSA Honorary Scientist (2006- ), IISc. He was Director, Institute of Fundamental Research on Complex System, Shillong (1991-94); and Visiting Scientist, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2000-03).
