Biography
NC Subrahmanyam did his PhD (1973) from University of Guelph, Canada specializing in plant molecular biology, genetics and biotechnology. He served as the Professor and Head, Department of Botany, University of Poona, Pune (1986-87); Dean, School of Life Sciences; Coordinator, Biotechnology Programme and Coordinator, UGC-DSA, Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad.
