Biography
I am Professor with IITTM. Here I am the Nodal Officer (Head of the NCR Centre of IITTM) and Chairman for the PhD Programme Teaching and research interests include Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Marketing of Services, Destination marketing and management, etc.
Research Interest
I am presently involved in research on tourism entrepreneurship, destination marketing and management, tour guiding and rural tourism. Earlier, I have been associated with projects supported by UGC, ICSSR, AICTE, MoT and others in and outside of India. Research efforts have resulted into more than 100 publications and 100 plus presentations at various national and international forums. I have authored six books and am currently working on a set of another six books. I am supervising 5 doctoral candidates working on issues related to tourism and other services, and entrepreneurship. 9 PhDs have already been awarded.
