Biography
Nagendrappa Masanappa Bujurke obtained his BSc (1996), MSc (1968) and PhD (1976) degrees from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He was a lecturer at Sri SB Science College, Gulbarga (1968-70) and later joined KUPG Centre (now Gulbarga University). During this period he was on lien to work on a project on Biomechanics at IIT, Delhi (1979-81) as Senior Scientific Officer (SSO). In 1983, he moved to Karnatak University, Dharwad and worked as Reader, then Professor and Chairman, Department of Mathematics. He was also In-charge of the Department of Computer Science (1990-2002) and popularized computer education in this area. He was Chairman of Campus Networking, Library Automation activities of the University and member of Academic Council. During 1985-86, for a year, he was Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellow at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP), University of Cambridge (UK). His collaborative research with TJ Pedley, on Physiological Fluid Flows is very well recognized in the field. He was INSA Senior Scientist (2005-07) and now Emeritus Fellow (UGC) since April 2007.
