Biography
Pran Nath Pandita earned his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Kashmir, India. Thereafter, he joined the Theoretical Physics Group, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai (1977), and moved to the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong (1979), where he was a Senior Professor, Department of Physics until 2013. Currently he is a Raja Ramanna Fellow of the Department of Atomic Energy at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengluru. He has been a Visiting Scientist at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron(DESY), Germany, University of Dortmund, Germany, Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics(NORDITA), Copenhagen, Abdus Salam International Centre for Theroetical Physics, Trieste, Italy, International School of Advanced Studies(SISSA), Trieste, Helsinki Institute of Physics, Finland, CEA-Saclay, France, and Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophsyics, Pune.
