Biography
Pratap Narain Srivastava obtained MSc (First Class First) (1949) and DPhil (1951), both from the University of Allahabad. He entered into the field of 'radiation biology' when he went to the Institute of Oceanography at Dalhousie University, Canada, as Postdoctoral Fellow of the National Research Council of Canada (1956). After two years, he shifted as Research Associate to the Bingham Oceanographic Laboratory, Yale University, USA. Srivastava has been Visiting Professor/Scientist at Kyoto University, Japan; Thomas Jefferson University, USA; Institute of Nuclear Medicine, Germany; Osaka University, Japan; Institute of Radiological Sciences, Japan; Patterson Laboratory, and Holt Radium Institute, Manchester, UK; Cornell University, USA; and Atomic Energy Establishment, Italy.
