Biography
Raghavendra Gadagkar obtained his BSc (Hons) in 1972 and MSc (1974) in Zoology from Bangalore University, and PhD (1979) in Molecular Biology from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He has since worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Theoretical Studies, IISc (1979-84), Lecturer (1984-87), Assistant Professor (1987-91), Associate Professor (1991-97) and Professor (1997- ), all at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, IISc. He is an Honorary Professor, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali (2013- ), India and Visiting Professor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (2015-17) and Non-resident Permanent Fellow, Wissenschaftskolleg (Institute for Advanced Study) in Berlin (2002-2017).
