Biography
Rengaswamy Ramesh obtained his BSc (Physics) (1976) and MSc (Physics) (1978) from the University of Madras, and PhD (1984) from Gujarat University while working under the supervision of K Gopalan at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad. Subsequently, he was Postdoctoral Fellow (1985-86), Research Associate (1987), Scientist D (1987-94), Reader (1994-98), Associate Professor (1999-2001), Professor (2002-07) and Senior Professor (2008- ), all at PRL. He was Visiting Research Associate with Devendra Lal at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (1992-93).
