Biography
SS Rai earned his BSc degree (Hons) (1973) from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), MTech (1977) from University of Roorkee and PhD (1988) from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. His specializations are in seismology, geo-electromagnetism, and non-linear dynamics. He held various positions as a Senior Scientific Assistant (1978-81), Scientist B (1981-99), Scientist F (1999-2004), Scientist G (2004-08) at National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad.
