Biography
Srinivas K Saidapur obtained BSc, MSc and PhD (1974) from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He joined the faculty of the Department of Zoology (1972), Karnatak University and became a Professor (1988) and later Vice-Chancellor (2006-10). He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Kansas Medical Center, University of Kansas (1976-79) with Professor GS Greenwald; Alexander von Humboldt Fellow (1989-90), University of Mainz; Visiting Scientist, National Institute for Basic Biology, Okazaki, Japan; and also held INSA-DFG Exchange Program fellowships (1995 and 2004) at Ruhr University and University of Wurzburg, Germany.
