Biography
Sudhir Pradyumna Pandya obtained his BSc (1948) from Bombay University, MSc (1950) from Delhi University, and PhD (1957) from University of Rochester, New York under the guidance of JB French. After returning to India (1957), Pandya joined the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad where he was appointed Associate Professor (1964), Professor (1970), Deputy Director (1973), Senior Professor and Director (1983), and Honorary Professor (1988). He was Visiting Research Fellow at UCLA and Visiting Research Associate at Argonne National Laboratory (1963-64).
