Biography
SV Lawande did his BSc (Hons) in Physics and Mathematics in 1957 from Bombay University. He then joined the training school at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai. He obtained his MSc (1965) in Applied Mathematics from Bombay University. He received Bhabha Fellowship for graduate work at the University of California at Davis (1966-69) and obtained his PhD in Applied Science specializing in the areas of theoretical and mathematical physics. After returning to India he joined Theoretical Physics Division at BARC.
